Virtual schools use internet and computer technology to teach students. It has been used at the universities and now it is also used at school.
Its not really used at school becuase the kids don't really go to school. School comes to them through their Personal Computers.

The program's first advantage is the ability to teach with more visual material and thus making the learning more fun and easy. Also, the students don't have to leave their homes, and can easily recieve any piece of information from home. The third advantage is the ability to easily record lessons and rewind information you might have missed.

However, there are still disadvantages. The first problem is students who tend not to study during class. They will simply log into the lessons, but won't learn a thing. Another problem is having less social activity. There are students who usually meet each other during school, and with virtual schools they will only talk but won't meet each other.

I think virtual schools are a great idea and should be implemented in more schools. I would love to study in a school like this because it has more freedom, we use a keyboard to write and of course we don't have to go to school every morning (which is quite far).

Dear Ms. Gilat Simon,

Every year High schools send students to praticipate in the Poland expedition, where students fly to Poland and get to expirience the life of jews during World War II from a more personal angle. However, some students are not capable of paying such great amounts of money for this trip, although they really want to go.

I believe the problem is the cost of the trip. The cost is outrageous. I know the trip costs alot of money in general, but I, for one, cannot pay even half of it and my economical state is not as bad as other kids'. They probably don't have money even to pay a fifth for(ww.) it. I think the authorities should pay for most of the trip and show people there is an option to lower the price.

Another problem is the shame. It's really not easy for a person that has economical problems to ask for such agreat assistence for something as big as a trip to Poland. I think that in this case teachers, who know that some students have economical problems, have to ask them directly a few times and maybe even talk with their parents, so they can ensure that they will go(phr. - their participation).

I believe the solution to this problem is simply(ww. - simple), more involvment from the school in each student's economical state and the authorities' envolvment. If they do it, more kids will be able to go on this journey.

Look It's Geroge Stoyonovich !

George is a young man in his early 20's. When he was 16 years old he dropped out of school, and since then he has been unemployed. George is the main charecter in the story. He is a son of an immigrant family, and has a sister and a father. He seems lazy and quite a boring charecter if you ask me.

George is described as a thin young man, who likes to read his sister's magazines and listen to the radio. Also, he likes to take long walks in the neighbourhood and sit in the park. George lives in an immigrant district called "the Bronx". His life is quite boring and he has a routine he follows everyday.

George dropped out of school, so he didn't get to graduate and, since he is unemployed, he acomplished nothing in life. The only acomplishment is the change in the people's reaction to him after he lies to Mr. C, People appreciate him and say he is a good a boy. His dad and sister dont do much to support him and his sister works too hard to notice him. Mr C tries to change George a little by making him read books, which eventually works.

I think George is quite a boring person and I don't like him too much. He is too lazy and since he is the opposite of me (I really love being around people) it was hard to connect to him. I think, in the future, George will change him self and end up in a better situation then Mr. cattanzara.

Animalistic Animal Man

I will review a book named Animorphs Written by K.A. Applegate. it is a science fiction - fantasy story about aliens, battles, animals and mysteries. It is a great book with great action.

The book is about a group of kid's who meet a dying alien that gives them the power to transform into animals. Also, they realize the threat our world is in.The yirk's are an alien race who control minds and they are trying to take control of the world. With the new power they got they try to save the world. Along the way they meet an alien that helps them.

The story is told through Jake's point of view, he is the main charecter of the story. He is the leader of the group.He and his friends face a lot of challenges during their mission to reach their destination.It is a story has action, fantasy, and some humor.

Animorphs is a great series of books each one is approximatly 130 pages long.It is a really interasting book and I would highly recommend it to teenagers and even older readers. And even now There are new books released.

I can't belive it's (not) food

Unhealthy food is the main cause of obesity in the United States. People eat unhealthy food, because it's cheap, quick and tasty. For the manufacturers it's a gold mine. They make cheap food, sell it and they sell alot. So no wonder people think it's the manufacturer's responsability to produce healthier food.

Like any bussines, the fast food resturants meet the clients' needs. The people get tasty, cheap, and fast food. I believe, that people who are too irresponsible about their diet, Can enjoy fast food. The restaurant shouldn't be responsible for it. If people won't be so lazy or ignorent, They would just make their own healthy food or eat at a healthy resturants.

Lets compare the fast food bussiness to the computer bussiness. They both supply products the public wants. There are healthier food products that usually cost more. Other food products are cheap and tasty. There are also cheap computers And expensive computers. If you choose to buy a cheap computer, why should you complain to the computer comapny ? same goes for fast food restaurants.

In conclussion, I can say that people are lazy. If they are not thinking for themsleves and taking care of their own health, It's their problem, not the food manufaturer's.

I would like to comment, on the arcticle about the assasination of 2 homo - lesbian community members. I, too, agree with the point of view the article supports, and believe we should act to stop ignorent behaviour towards homo - lesbians.

The first subject on line is the reason why the person did what he did. I agree that the man assasinated them and tried to kill even more because he hates them, however, he probably knows nothing about these people. His view of the world is more important then people's lives. And they should recieve full respect of their way of life from other people.

The "Bar Noar" was the only place gay teenagers could come, and talk about their problems and feelings. I go to a place similar to the "Bar Noar", where I can hang out with teenagers my own age or older and just have fun. If the same thing happened there, it would make me think twice before going there again.

Eventually I hope our country, or even world, will learn to accept gay people. People need to understand that being gay is natural and it's not their fault they were born this way.

The goverment strikes again

Every year, the goverment takes some of the budget for education, and other services like garbage workers .For a long time no one did anything to stop it, because it didn't reach a bad situation. However, for the past few years people have started reacting, and starting all kinds of strikes. The biggest one took place last year, and lasted for 2 whole months, in which most schools didn't work.

It's mentioned in the report that some cities, and especially the big ones, refuse to go on a strike. Because they think for now, they can arrange something without such drastic measures. Other cities took more drastic measures, meaning they stopped all services in the city, including the schools and Kinder garden.

I think it's very important to go on this strike, because if all the cities in Israel go on a full strike for a week, the goverment will have to accept their terms, Or else the country will have a problem. On the other hand, it might be really risky to make such a move, because there is a chance they will just let the cities continue the strike for a long time, which will hurt me and alot of other students' grades.

In conclusion, I believe we should go on a strike and make the goverment understand that services and education is something to be recognized and can't have its budget stolen for other needs. then things should be diffrent and we will get a bigger budget for the important services.

Yes, kill them, there not people

The homo lesbian community in Israel, is located mainly in Tel Aviv. There are alot of special places for them, like night clubs and even Restaurants. Also, there are teenage hangouts and support groups. Homo lesbian people are considerd "different" from straight people. Because of their attraction to the same sex, they are often treated as if they are not people at all.

The assasination of 2 people (a teenage and an adult) in the place called "Bar Noar" was a really shocking thing to hear because at that very moment I was at a friend's house who planned to go there that evening ! It was really scary and blood boiling that someone did such a thing because he didnt like the way they lived. I think the killer did it because it's what he knew from home or from his community ,where homo - lesbians are often misjudged.

That man didn't curse them or throwed a rock at them. He went beyond that. He went to the ONLY place gay teenagers had to talk and receive help. It's equilivent to having someone come to your home and spray some bullets, kill 2 people and leave. You won't feel safe at home ever again.

I go to a place that is simply a teenage meeting place and it has voulenteers there and I couldn't stop imagining that the same thing could happen there. And we should make people understand that people who are diffrent shouldn't die for it.

Even by every one

School uniform, the very special clothes the school makes you wear when going to school. It's usually unique for every school and if you don't wear it to school you will get punished. Some people think it's a good idea some people think it's a bad idea. I will show you soon why.

The first advantage of school uniform is makeing all the schoolmates even. Nobody feels diffrent and kids that can't afford good clothing won't be diffrent in school. Another thing is the fact that this makes kids more disciplined and prepares them for the army as well, where they will wear a uniform all the time.

The First disadvantage to school uniform is the fact that kids have no way to express them selves if the uniform is very strict (like japanese schools). However, in Israel this isn't a problem and that leads me to the second disadvantage, which is the only school uniform is just some lousy T-shirt with a little mark of the school. this accomplishes nothing of the original purpose for uniform.

In conclussion, I can say that the uniform is totally useless and The students are better of without it because in Israel it's barely uniform, so why bother ? It Doesn't accomplish any of its goals, like disciplining and making all even. We still all look very diffrent (which is good) but I think the school uniform shirt is ugly.

Burge McCall and Female McCall

Burge McCall is a short little ugly man with a bad atitude. Other women say they would not touch him with a 10 foot pole. After his first 2 wives had left him he married a 3rd wife named Miss McCall. miss McCall is quite the mystery lady. She has her hair slide equally both sides and she never talks. People say that Miaaa McCall married Burge becuase she hated her past life and wanted to run away.

At first, things were bad for Miss McCall. Her husband didn't like her, he wasted alot of money on other women and never spent any on his wife and Miss McCall rarly talked to him too. When, eventually. Burge McCall cursed his wife and she didn't answer back, as he thought she would, he slapped her across the face, but she didn't retaliate, she just said :" Burge McCall you'r a big rat, and one day you will get what you deserve"

About a year after that happened, Burge entered the drug store and talked to the pharmacist. He told him that Miss McCall his wife had bought alot of rat poison and she mentioned something about a big rat. Burge, for the next 2 years, was so afraid that she will poison him that he stopped eating in the house, went out alot and even when he was thirsty he went to the neighbours to drink.

Eventually, Burge thought of an idea. If he keeps her with him all the time she couldnt poison him and then they started to really like each other until he died (and she even shed a tear!). In conclusion, I can say Burge is a big rat but the story took a very nice turning point that led to a total change of the charecters' lives. it was an interasting story.

Ask The Little Ones !

Homework is a burden to every elementry school student. It's not just a burden, it's slavery ! Since the country makes kids and teenagers go to school and learn. They also give us homework, to continue the suffering at home. If we don't do the homework, they make us do more at school, or call our parents, and make us suffer more at home.

As a student in the 10th grade I feel the burden of many kids and teenagers out there because it's really boring to do homework. It's hard, why can't we just do somethine else like play on the computer or just have more time to hang out with friends. But no, homework is allways in the way.

Recent reserchs show that homework has no impact on a student's achivments in school as said by Kohn 2006; Trautwein and Koller 2003 :
The link between homework and student achievement is far from clear. There is no conclusive evidence that homework increases the student's achievements. Some studies show positive effects of homework under certain conditions and for certain students, some show no effects, and some suggest negative effects.

In conclusion, it's best to say that homework is history (and lets keep it only at that subject) we need something more interesting less time consuming with better affects. However, having no homework at all would be better.

The Known or The Unknown

The Unknown Problems of The Universe or The Known Problems of The World ?

Space Exploration is a very interesting thing to some people, and an absolute waste of time for others. Some think space exploration is the future of man kind. Some think that there is enough problems in the present. While there are T.V Satelites worth millions of dollars in the sky, there are people begging for a few cents to survive another day.

Space exploration is important because it's the future of man kind. Living in space is not only the scientists' dream, it's a dream everyone of us had. Having space research and exploration is the only way to get to it. Also, one day this may help our economy, since plenty of natural resources on our planet(sp.) are allmost done, maybe we can find a sollution to that in space.

However, it costs "astronomic" amounts of money, millions, even billions of dollars are wasted on space exploration. This money could be used in better ways, like helping the poor, building more quality places, like parks and theaters, and evolving the economy. Also, traveling in space is extremly dangerous, we all know what happened to Illan Ramon, this can happen to any person flying to space.

In conclusion, space research) is importent, however its expensive and dangerous. I think it's better to use the money to explore the space, I find it important becuase the human curiosety has no limits.

Peers And Beers

"Drink, drink, drink, drink !", shouted Alon's friends. Alon was standing with a bottle of beer in his hand confused. While thinking if he should drink the rum or no. Alon never drank any alcohol in his life, and hoped to stay like this until 21. But his friends want him to drink now, and if he isnt going to drink he's afraid he won't be popular.

Peer Pressure is something very "popular" among teenagers and also among mature people .As long as we live, we will have decisions to make. Some are not very crucial, like what will u eat today and others are more crucial, like smoking, drinking etc. Many kids are affected by peer pressure and do all kinds of things they usually won't do because they think they will lose their friends if they aren't going to do what they tell them to.

many teenagers Fall into peer presuure, but if you don't care about their opinion or there are really good friends of yours they won't judge you for a minor thing like disagreeing on one thing. Peer pressure can also be good, like stopping a bully with a big bunch of kids to pressure him to stop bullying.

Peer pressure is very common with teenagers and is mostly used for bad reasons. However, it can be used greatly for good reasons too. Try it !

A Helping Hand

Dear Homer,

I have read about your problem and I think I can give you a nice prespective about what I would have done(with my friends) if a new person came to my class with my friends and then I think I can give you a better view about the situation.

This situation is very uncomfterable. You must feel bad when you see the new girl alone and still, you're afraid to talk to her because of your friends.

If it happened in my life, my friends aren't snobish (well most of them) so it would be quite simple and fun. But I think you should think twice before making such a "daring" move.

But(try using other connectors, other than "but", like: "However") if you think your friends are good friends, this could be a great way to see if they are really your freinds(sp.). Do what's in your mind, if there (sp.- they are) your friends, they won't judge you becuase of this. Also, you should try to explain to them your opinion, who knows, maybe she is very nice and fun and they will like her.

Although I gave you plenty of ideas and possible solutions, I hope you decide what is best for you and still don't(not) lose your friends.

Gaza ?

I'm going to keep my post about Gaza short and sweet !
This war is not something we can let go, we must fight this war until terroristic organazations stop controling "Gaza".
But most of the world says the next thing in other words: "stop the war you are a country there not stop the war, war is not the way" it is the idea they are saying.
Well then I have one thing to say to them, if they think war is not the way, then they should think of a plan to stop kassams from falling on israely territory.
The usual answer would be try peace offers and etc... But peace is just a word. I would like to get a plan a real plan ! to make the Israely - Gaza conflict stop.
So please people\leaders of countries stop saying the same thing just to sound like you know what youre talking about, be real.
(darn... not so short but sweet !)

The Angolian Treasure

Dear U !

I felt an itch lately so I decided to write to you, though I dont really know what so I am improvising this letter right now.
Lately I have been traveling the world alot (you know rich people stuff), I have been to America, Russia, England, France and Angola.

You must be wondering why I went to Angola in Africa its far, strange, black (i'm not a racist) and has alot of conflicts so yea I guess why is a good question.
Well I won't tell you why (bussines secrets), but I will tell you this: I discoverd the secret of the Angolian Treasure ! I know it sounds stupid, well it is kinda stupid, but its really cool and I found it in an unusual way.

At first I thought Angola was a boring country, but then I decided that i should have a walk in the country. While I was "walking" with my rented car in Angola, I heard a few rumors about the Angolian treasure, so I decided to check where it was. I wont tell how I got the information but it went fast, and soon I found my self with 5 people in the place it was supposd to be.
.
I asked the guy in the uniform to get the treasure, then he asked me what I wanted to drink, I said orange soda, I think it was just good work of him, doing the extra effort for the extra buck. After a few moments he said, "here is your order sir", and infront of me was placed a burger and a medium orange soda from McDonalds (yes, they reached even there), with a little toy called "The Angolian Treasure".

So with a big smile I returned home with my Angolian treasure (I paid 10 bucks for it INSANITY), the flight was kinda fun, bad food though...
